'SEKO ONE' est un artiste indépendant né en 1994, grandissant durant l'explosion du mouvement Street-art & Graffiti. Dès l'arrivée de Pokémon dans la cour de récré, il est complètement sous le charme du TCG qu'il commencera à collectionner. Sur les bancs du collège, les marqueurs ont largement pris la place des cartes à collectionner car sa passion pour le Graffiti et les lettrages grandit davantage.
Depuis 2007, il utilise le blaze 'SEKO ONE' dont il signera la plupart de ses travaux. Parmi ses nombreux voyages, Tokyo en 2018 sera l'étincelle qui ravivera son élan de collectionneur de cartes Pokémon. Il s'investit massivement dans cette quête; sa sensibilité vis-à-vis de l'art japonais grandit. En parallèle, l'envie de peindre se fait sentir et l'attrait pour les lettres du Graffiti est toujours là, inaltérable. En 2020, il prend conscience que les monstres de poche qui l'obsèdent tant méritent leur place sur toile grand format et tente sa première expérience au pinceau. Il a pour objectif de mettre en lumière cet univers encore peu considéré à cette période.
Pouvoir accrocher un Pokémon au même titre qu'une œuvre d'art, voilà son postulat. En novembre 2021, il décide de promouvoir ses premières œuvres lors du TGS-TOULOUSE GAME SHOW. L'intérêt du public est au rendez-vous. Plusieurs séries de peinture sur toile seront réalisées. Parmi les plus appréciées, il y a les réappropriation de tableaux de grands maîtres comme La Nuit étoilée de Van Gogh, dans lequel Seko y introduira l'illustration de 2 cartes Pokémon bien connues des collectionneurs. Il y a aussi La Vague d'Hokusai, où là encore l'introduction d'un Pikachu surfant la vague de Kanagawa était évidente (les tirages d'art de ces œuvres sont à retrouver chez Rocket Shop)!
Actualités: Depuis son premier vernissage en galerie (Novembre 2022), Seko One apparaîtra dans plus d'une vingtaine d'expositions. La prochaine est prévue à Paris - Japan Expo du 11 au 14 juillet 2024. En attendant, restez connectés car la série "Munch: My Retrospective" s'enrichie chaque année d'une nouvelle œuvre! 'SEKO ONE' is an independent artist born in 1994, growing up during the explosion of the Street-art & Graffiti movement. Upon the arrival of Pokémon in the playground, he is completely under the spell of the TCG that he will begin to collect. It aims to highlight this universe still little considered at this time.
Being able to hang a Pokémon just like a work of art is his premise. In November 2021, he decided to promote his first works at the TGS-TOULOUSE GAME SHOW. The public interest was there. Several series of painting on canvas will be made. Among the most appreciated are the reappropriation of paintings by great masters such as Van Gogh’s Starry Night, in which Seko will introduce the illustration of 2 Pokémon cards well known to collectors.
